The 9th Annual "Cure for Mito" Auction

On Saturday, September 17, 2011 the Mitochondrial Research Guild hosted its 9th annual 'Cure for Mito' Auction and Dinner at the spectacular Willows Lodge in Woodinville, Washington. This special evening was enjoyed by 220 guests on what was truly a special evening in a beautiful setting, with wonderful entertainment and fabulous food and wine.

The evening began with guests enjoying hors d'oeuvres and cocktails in the garden while listening to the sounds of the Robert Vaughn Jazz Trio. The cocktail reception was followed by our acclaimed four-course dinner prepared by Willows Lodge Executive Chef Bobby Moore and his talented culinary staff. Each course was accompanied by a selection of wines provided by JM Cellars. The live auction was conducted by none other than auctioneer April Brown and the evening ended with dancing to the Robert Vaughn Jazz Band.

Thanks to the generous support of our auction attendees, donors and sponsors, the guild raised a record breaking $270,000 at the event, bringing our total proceeds raised over the past 9 years to over $1.8 million for Seattle Children's! These funds are being used to support our efforts at Seattle Children's to continue to grow the Program for Mitochondrial Medicine and Metabolism and we are grateful to all of our supporters over the last few years that have made this all possible.
